Meeting Attire

The attire for this meeting is informal or business casual. A jacket and/or sweater is recommended for the meeting rooms and for the evenings. The month of June is characterized by daily highs around 21°C (69°F). The daily low temperature of around 12°C (53°F). The month of June can be rainy so a jacket is recommended if you are planning to spend time outside.

Electricity Adapters and Converters

220 volt outlets are most common with two round pins. Though the hotels may have a few outlet plug adapters to borrow, it is suggested to bring a universal outlet adapter. An adapter will not convert electricity, but it will allow you to plug into the sockets. Most laptops support a range of 100-240V with a frequency of 50-60 Hz and can be charged by using an adapter for the socket. A converter is generally used for those traveling from a country of lower voltage to a country with higher voltage and cannot be used for electronic devices such as laptops.

Currency and Exchange

Germany's official monetary unit is the Euro. Cash dispensers (ATMs) that accept all major credit/debit cards can be found at several locations in the airport, and at banks and retail areas throughout the city. Currency exchange services will charge either a flat fee for small denominations or a percentage of the amount exchanged. Usually the exchange rate favors the banks.
